Transportation
Navigating the Road to Recovery Together
Second Chance Opportunities Outreach Transportation (SCOOT) is our transportation service designed to support individuals in recovery from substance use disorder. Our mission is to eliminate transportation barriers, ensuring that those on their recovery journey can access vital appointments and services and resources without worry. By diligently working to secure funding sources, SCOOT transportation services are available at no cost to the individual.
Launched in 2024, SCOOT exemplifies our commitment to your recovery by providing reliable, compassionate, and stress-free transportation to SUD and mental health treatment, non-emergency medical appointments, counseling sessions, support group meetings, and other critical services.
With SCOOT, individuals in recovery can focus on their well-being and personal growth, knowing that they have a dependable and supportive means of transportation.

“I grew up in Woodstock, NY, and started experimenting with drugs as a teenager, not knowing what was ahead. Recovery found me in 2015, but it took years of battling addiction before I finally surrendered. I just celebrated my first year in recovery, and I'm grateful to now help others find their path through my work at Second Chance Opportunities.”

“Faced with prison or one last shot at recovery, I chose the Warren County treatment court program and transformed my life. With the support of a strong community and church, I found purpose, love, and fatherhood. Recovery has given me hope and shown me that even in struggle, new possibilities emerge.”

“After more than a decade of substance use, incarceration, and near-death experiences, I found purpose through the recovery community. Second Chance Opportunities helped me rebuild my life, and now I use my story to give others hope. Driving is just one way I stay connected, serve my community, and show that recovery is always possible.”

“For a long time, I believed I wasn’t worthy of help, until I surrendered to the love of my Higher Power and found healing through a 12-step fellowship. That journey changed everything and helped me realize I am worthy, and so is everyone else. Now, I share that message every day by supporting others in recovery and reminding them they’re not alone.”
