Navigating the Road to Recovery Together

Second Chance Opportunities Outreach Transportation (SCOOT) is our transportation service designed to support individuals in recovery from substance use disorder. Our mission is to eliminate transportation barriers, ensuring that those on their recovery journey can access vital appointments and services and resources without worry. By diligently working to secure funding sources, SCOOT transportation services are available at no cost to the individual.

“I grew up in Woodstock, NY, and started experimenting with drugs as a teenager, not knowing what was ahead. Recovery found me in 2015, but it took years of battling addiction before I finally surrendered. I just celebrated my first year in recovery, and I'm grateful to now help others find their path through my work at Second Chance Opportunities.”

  • A smiling man with a beard and sunglasses on his cap, wearing a black polo shirt and tan pants, standing in front of a red car with his arms open wide.

“Faced with prison or one last shot at recovery, I chose the Warren County treatment court program and transformed my life. With the support of a strong community and church, I found purpose, love, and fatherhood. Recovery has given me hope and shown me that even in struggle, new possibilities emerge.”

  • A man wearing a white T-shirt with the words 'Too Blessed to be stressed' stands among a group of people outdoors.

Second Chance Opportunities helped me rebuild my life, and now I use my story to give others hope. Driving is just one way I stay connected, serve my community, and show that recovery is always possible.”

“For a long time, I believed I wasn’t worthy of help, until I surrendered to the love of my Higher Power and found healing through a 12-step fellowship. That journey changed everything and helped me realize I am worthy, and so is everyone else. Now, I share that message every day by supporting others in recovery and reminding them they’re not alone.”
